My First Concert Experience: Megan Thee Stallion

 

The Anticipation

I've always been a huge fan of Megan Thee Stallion, but nothing could have prepared me for the excitement of seeing her live in concert for the very first time. When I found out she was coming to Tampa, I knew this was my chance. The anticipation had been building for weeks. I had all her songs on repeat, practiced my "Hot Girl" moves in front of the mirror, and counted down the days until the big event.

Getting Ready

The day finally arrived, and I could hardly contain my excitement. I spent the morning deciding what to wear, wanting to channel my inner Hot Girl. I settled on a red push-up Bikini top, a slightly altered jean bikini bottom with red fringe to cover up my cheeks, and some red over-the-thigh boots —ready to dance the night away. I spent most of my day sewing a red cardigan to put over my outfit because I didn't want to feel all the way exposed (I dress conservatively for the most part), I even decided to put on fishnet stockings with rhinestones on to jazz my outfit up a little lol 

Arriving at the Venue

I arrived at the Amalie Arena in Tampa late but the buzz was still happening when I finally was able to park.  Fans of all ages, dressed in their best outfits, were gathered, eagerly waiting for the show to start. I could feel the camaraderie among us; we were all here for one reason—to see Megan Thee Stallion slay the stage.

The Opening Act- GloRilla

I was late so I didn't get to see all of it but from what I heard, the opening act GLORILLA was on the stage!   She was incredible and really helped to amp up the crowd. I knew most of the songs that she performed, but nothing could compare to the anticipation of seeing Megan. 

Megan Takes the Stage

When Megan finally took the stage, the arena erupted in cheers. There she was, in all her glory, commanding the stage with her presence. She opened with "Savage," and the crowd went wild. Her energy was off the charts, and her confidence was palpable. It was clear she was there to give us the night of our lives.

The Performance

Megan's performance was everything I hoped it would be and more. She performed all her hits, from "Hot Girl Summer" to "Body," and even treated us to some new tracks. Her choreography was flawless, and her interaction with the crowd made us feel like we were all part of the show. The highlight of the night was when she performed "Thot Shit"—the entire arena was on their feet, dancing and singing along.

The Crowd

The crowd was amazing. There was such a sense of unity and joy among us. We were all there to celebrate Megan and her music, and it felt like one big party. I made new friends, shared laughter and excitement, and felt a connection with everyone around me. It was truly a magical experience.

Post-Concert Bliss

As the concert came to an end and Megan left the stage, the energy in the arena was still high. I  slowly made my way out, chatting excitedly about my favorite moments with random strangers. The streets of Tampa were filled with concert-goers, all buzzing with post-concert bliss. I grabbed a late-night snack and relived every detail of the night, already planning my next concert adventure.

Reflection

Seeing Megan Thee Stallion live was a dream come true. Her talent, energy, and charisma are unmatched, and she truly knows how to put on a show. This was my first concert experience, and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Megan, if you're reading this, thank you for an unforgettable night in Tampa. You made my first concert experience one that I'll cherish forever.

Respectfully- Monster Hunter Rise

I must confess that I am a Monster Hunter fanatic first and foremost! Up until this moment, I had a lot of love for the series. It is for this reason that I find it quite disheartening to have to say this, particularly on my platform. Last weekend, it was on sale for the price of $29.99! With the Sunbreak expansion pack.

Let me start by stating that I was attempting to get my friend to play Monster Hunter: World with me while he was in Alaska, but he bought the wrong game and for the longest time I thought that Monster Hunter: Rise might have been the next game in the series. I was wrong.

 From the beginning of the game, the graphics appear to be quite beautiful. A woman was singing at that time. At the initial screen for logging in. Moreover, it was wonderful. It was colored, and it appeared to be based on some kind of old China/Japanese forum. This was clear in the architecture, monster design, and equipment, all of which are already distinct from Monster Hunter World. Monster Hunter World is more Amazonian, and Monster Hunter World is not unique to any dynasty or age. I liked how the colors were so vibrant. On the other hand, when I started playing, I started to become aware of a few extremely peculiar aspects, and they made the gameplay less pleasurable, at least for me.

 To clarify, "Monster Hunter: Rise" is an action role-playing game that was produced and published by Capcom. For those who are unaware, this is the type of game. Because it is a part of the "Monster Hunter" series, it maintains the gameplay style that has become synonymous with the franchise. Assuming the character of a Hunter, players are faced with the mission of slaughtering or trapping huge monsters by employing a wide range of weapons, equipment, and environmental features to inflict damage and weaken them while simultaneously surviving their attacks.

After playing this game, the first thing that I observed was that there were only four people who were permitted to be in the lobby. There was no explanation for why this was the case when I looked it up on the internet, except the fact that this game was developed for the Nintendo Switch, so okay...The fact that the Switch does not permit more than four individuals to be in a group is something that I have never really understood. Considering that we have recently transitioned to a different kind of platform, we ought to be able to have more than four people in the lobby. I understand that at the time, the Game Cube and other consoles only supported four players, but unlike many games today, they did not support internet play.

Get with the times.

An additional point to consider is that it was quite easy to play if that makes any sense. We needed to construct our base from the ground up, much like in Monster Hunter: World.

Literally.

The majority of the features were not accessible to us until we either constructed them or discovered them, and even after that, we were required to satisfy the requirements of the assignment. On the other hand, everything (and I mean everything) is just organized for you and ready for you to use when you are on Rise. Because of this, the overall experience of playing the game is diminished.

 

Because of the extremely small size of the maps, there is a lot of room for improvement in this area. I was quite literally able to run around the map in a matter of minutes, and I didn’t play it long enough to see if they had a daytime/nighttime transition. The undiscovered map was also Japanese-style clouds that would disappear after you entered the area, so that was cute.

Several new elements and gameplay dynamics are included in the game, which is a positive development. Among these, the "Wire bug" mechanism stands out as particularly noteworthy. This mechanic gives players the ability to grip and swing across gaps or up cliffs, adding a new degree of verticality to the exploration and combat game. The game also includes new companion kinds, such as the Palamute, which is a canine-like creature that can be ridden, in addition to the Palicoes, who are like cats and were featured in earlier games. These allies assist in combat and can perform a variety of support duties. I will say that the colors are vivid and stunning and that I enjoyed the scenery as well as the dog that you get to ride around on.

Monster Hunter: Rise is supposed to make it easier for new players to get into the game, but that is where the game developers shot themselves in the foot.

BECAUSE REAL GAMERS DON’T WANT EASY GAMES.

I want to ask who they are making these new-age games for, but the answer would be for my 11-year-old son. This game is bright-colored, easy to play, and built for someone who has the attention span of a kumquat. But alas, I even had my son play it and he stopped playing because it was “boring”. So, I am back to “Who did they make this for?”

If it is not obvious enough I do not like the game, I did like the colorful scenery for a few minutes the singing at the login screen, and the new dogs, but not much else about this game was worth me spending my hard-earned money on.

I was so disappointed with the game that I wanted my money back lol, I know that is not going to happen because, unlike physical copies of the game, you can't return an electronic game unless it is faulty (how can that even happen?)

So for now it has been uninstalled and sent to the gaming abyss to die lol I do believe it should have been a free PlayStation game.

Yes, I think it is that boring. Let's call it a 4 out of 10.

Fans eagerly awaited a successor to Diablo 3, hoping for a rich experience that blended the best of the previous games while also introducing fresh elements. Now that it's finally here, it's time to delve into the world of Sanctuary once again and determine if Diablo 4 has succeeded in its mission.

Graphics and Atmosphere

From the moment you step into the world of Sanctuary, it's evident that Diablo 4 is a visual masterpiece. The game returns to the darker, grittier aesthetic reminiscent of Diablo 2, offering a much-welcomed departure from the slightly more colorful and cartoonish design of its predecessor. Environments are meticulously detailed, from the gloomy dungeons and crypts to the sprawling outdoor landscapes, each teeming with life (and undeath). Dynamic weather and time of day further enhance the atmosphere, making the world feel alive and ever-changing.

Character and monster designs are intricately detailed, and animations are smooth. The graphic fidelity brings a heightened level of immersion, and the visceral combat feels all the more satisfying because of it.

At its core, Diablo 4 remains faithful to the series' hack-and-slash roots. The combat is fluid, and the weightiness of each strike or spell can be felt. But Blizzard hasn’t just stuck to the old formula; there's a number of new gameplay mechanics and refinements that enrich the experience.

The introduction of mounts, for example, allows for faster traversal across the vast open world, and the customization options for these mounts add another layer of personal touch to your character. The world is no longer segmented into separate acts, but rather, it flows seamlessly, making exploration and discovery all the more enticing.

The skill and talent system in Diablo 4 feels more expansive and flexible. This offers players the ability to truly tailor their characters to their playstyle, rather than being funneled into a few optimal builds.

Without diving into spoiler territory, Diablo 4’s story is a rollercoaster of emotions. The narrative harkens back to the series' roots, with looming threats, betrayal, and the eternal struggle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells. The voice acting and cutscenes are of the high standard we’ve come to expect from Blizzard, with the story being both engaging and compelling.

I don't get it

 So I don't know why I thought this man would be any different Than any other. Men that I have dealt with in the past because, at the end of the day, they're all men. And. Their base instinct is bullshit. And maybe I shouldn't say bullshit because. They're men and they are driven off similar things. But it's kind of boring and obnoxious. Like, I don't know what. How I'm feeling right now. But it's not like a genuine love for the male species.

So I have been attracted to this guy for a While now. And like, we got to talking, got to chit-chatting, and it. At first, he didn't like show an interest beyond platonic, which was cool. That's fine. I respect that because, you know, he had a girlfriend and everything, but he had drive and he had a business that I was interested in. And., I wanted to be a part of that and. When I saw. What he was doing, I was attracted to it because I've never been around a man who was like. Motivated and driven to do what they want to do and hit their goals in life. I've always managed to meet the ones who are OK with the status quo. You know. I didn't feel like they were going to be a good fit into my life. So, I broke up with them or I never took them seriously.

But then I met this person. We'll just call him Jamie. So, I met him. A long time ago through a friend. And at first, it was a little weird because she and he were dating and I did consider her like a friend for a while, or at least an acquaintance and stuff like that. But in my mind, I didn't really feel like they were a good fit because I know her. As much as I've gotten to know him, he was a lot more. Educated So. It didn't seem like they had a lot to talk about, if that makes sense. But that was not my relationship, so I guess I can't really speak to that.

But Fast forward a couple years later. I'm still seeing him around. And we have been. In the same social events, in the same areas at the same time. So it seemed like a good. Time to, you know, approach him. Especially since me and the girl are no longer close (If we were even close in the first place)

So we have been getting to know each other over the past couple of months. I've expressed interest in his business and I am interested, I actually really do want to invest in his business, but I can't at the moment because of other financial obligations that  I can't seem to get out of, But as we've gotten to know each other. He's mentioned that he has been dating someone and he had. Been for the past year and some change. And he considers her serious. But my question is, how can you consider her serious if you're out here gallivanting with whomever?  So normally not my business, right? But. He seems to believe that, because he is doing “everything” at home, he should be provided the freedom to do whatever he wants with whoever he wants. When I asked him if his girlfriend shared the same sentiment, he responded by telling me no, and he wouldn't bring it up because why would someone put that thought in their woman’s mind?

So, I agree and disagree with the justification behind this video. One, I don’t think she is talking about a boyfriend, I 100% believe she is talking about a husband in a marriage. I also don’t believe she is talking about breaking the sanctity of marriage and purposefully having multiple relationships or sexual encounters with different women.

She is also very old, so she was alive in the times when women could not survive without a man. So, I understand her mindset. She was also alive during a time when groceries were a nickel.

But I am not that type of woman. If you are sleeping with other women, and you are taking care of everything at home, why can’t I in turn sleep with other men if I am taking care of everything at home?

His response was that women are not prone to sleeping with multiple men. Which I guess is true? But a lot of women after the age of 30 get a “sexual second wind” which their sex drive increases exponentially. A lot of men in their 30s deal with erectile dysfunction issues, so I am not sure if that information is accurate.

Anyway, that is neither here nor there, I really just wanted him for sex, but he seems to think I want a relationship or something from him. He gets upset when I don’t ask how he is and that he always has to ask for sex.

Uh? Yeah? Because I have gotten to know you and I realize that you:

a.       Don’t make any money

b.      Cheat on your girlfriend for whatever reason

c.       Willing to justify bullshit

I don’t know if it's insecurity on his part or something, but I feel like he is run by money, and if he had more money, he wouldn’t have to pimp himself out to women to get it. Whatever it is I fell for the bullshit for a little because I was thinking with my vagina, but now that I think about it. He can’t provide me with anything that I can’t find somewhere else with someone who is willing to be faithful or at least close to it.

 Like, I seriously doubt everything at home is okay, not that it is for me to comment on. But shit doesn't make any sense to me. Are men hunters ALL the time? Does that mean no matter who you decide to spend your life with you will always be sharing him with another woman?

My sleep was disturbed by the rays of sunlight trickling through the curtains.  It took me a minute to realize where I was. And who wasn't in the bed with me. 

I shot up out of the bed. Haez was looking at me with only what  I could assume was a smirk of amusement on his face.  

"What? You thought I had left?"  he asked, his smile growing ever wider.  I rolled my eyes, laid back down in bed, and covered my face to hide my embarrassment. 

The next thing I know, I have a man-sized weight pressing against the blanket. Haez yanked the cover over my face and gave me a quick peck on the lips. 

Childish Ass

"I'm not that n*gga, shawty," he said as he got up.

I dramatically rolled my eyes again, failing miserably to hide the wide smile that had crept up on my face. Haez went back to getting ready. He pulled out a couple of articles of clothing, some shoes, and..another cell phone?!?!

I sucked in a gust of air

I feigned a loud yawn and began ungracefully stretching when my fake yawn became a real one. I heard him chuckle. 

"You must have been really tired," he said as he buttoned up his shirt. I covered up another smile, "Why is that? Tried to wake me up?" I stretched again and sat up.

"Nah. Your phone was." he said, putting a leg inside a pair of shorts, then the other "It was ringing off da hook" he continued "You must have a fan club"

My smile faded immediately. I reached for my phone that was on the dresser and placed my thumb on the screen to unlock it.
